From the Spark of Coal to a Thriving System
This is the meaningful story of Doğan Aslan, who lit the first flame in Kaman-Hacılı Village, Kırşehir.
The foundation of Aslanlar Group began in 1970 with coal trading. The journey into commerce started with the sale and transportation of coal. In 1978, auto spare parts were added to the business lines.
Brick by brick, step by step, the foundation of Aslanlar's 50-year legacy was being laid. In 1988, Aslanlar Petrol began wholesale fuel sales as a Petrol Ofisi Bureau Dealer, serving many public and private institutions across Turkey. This was a significant opportunity to bring innovation to the industry and establish a long-lasting company presence.
In 1992, Aslanlar Petrol opened its first fuel station on Eskişehir Road. This station was the jewel of the Aslanlar family, representing a new form and meaning to Doğan Aslan's 22-year-long journey. The second generation was also preparing themselves for future responsibilities. Hakan ASLAN and Serkan ASLAN, the invisible heroes behind their father's journey until 1992, worked tirelessly under Doğan Aslan's leadership. Their relentless efforts led to the addition of new stations, including Çiftlik Junction, Keçiören, Eryaman, Mamak, Boğaziçi, and Haymana, increasing the total number of stations to seven.
In 2007, Aslanlar, aiming to reflect diverse perspectives into their service approach, established BNS Insurance to manage customer risk.
Keeping a close eye on technological advancements in Turkey and around the world, Aslanlar Group became one of the first distributors of Petrol Ofisi Automatic Vehicle Identification Systems, providing customers with a fast and convenient shopping experience.
Petrol Ofisi, Turkey's largest fuel distribution and lubricant manufacturing company, recognized Aslanlar Petrol's outstanding performance in station services by granting them the Ankara and Kırıkkale Lubricant Distribution rights. In 2009, Aslanlar Petrol ventured into the lubricant sector with a fresh perspective, expanding their success to new domains.
In 2013, Aslanlar Petrol shifted focus to a completely different area. They launched the BIGBANG brand, emphasizing unique cooking techniques and daily freshness, and opened their first sales point at Çamlıca Station on Istanbul Road. With a commitment to fast service and friendly customer care, BIGBANG now operates seven branches in Istanbul and Ankara.
Aslanlar, committed to doing their job to the best of their ability, became a school in the fuel industry. To share their expertise, they established BİREBİR AKADEMİ under the guidance of Petrol Ofisi, adapting their knowledge, experience, and vision to other stations.
Aslanlar Group also made a mark in the construction industry. From their first station construction, they managed all their station projects. They built two apartment buildings with 14 units each in Ankara's Öveçler District and a three-story business center in Balgat. In 2011, they completed the Kardore Houses, consisting of two blocks and 20 residences, solidifying their achievements in construction. By 2014, Aslanlar Petrol completed a modern business center on Eskişehir Road’s Mesa Koru Junction with 7,000 m² of enclosed space, marking another milestone.
Today, Aslanlar Petrol continues secure fuel distribution and transportation with modern-equipped tanker vehicles and a well-trained team in risk management.
With a team of nine sales representatives, a 16-member experienced lubricant sales team, seven support vehicles, three lubricant distribution vehicles, a forklift, and a 2,000 m² enclosed warehouse, Aslanlar Petrol consistently ranks in the top three in Petrol Ofisi Lubricant Distributor competitions.
With half a century of experience recorded into its "corporate and brand memory," Aslanlar Group is a large family that supports intrapreneurship, prioritizes customer expectations, listens to its internal customers (employees), and sets its sights on international growth.
